Pre-register for the Regular Scholastic #5 chess tournament (Feb 8, 2026) List of pre-registered students (Walk up registration 12:00pm to 12:45pm - the event will be capped at 72 students)

January 29, 2025: Get ready for the 2026 MB Provincial Chess Championship with the 2026 Provincials Training Program presented by 6x MB provincial champion and National Master Theo Wolchock, including a special guest lecture from National Master and former Manitoba Champion, Isaac Wiebe.

January 19, 2026: Official ratings have been updated.

January 18, 2026: Tournament results from the Regular Scholastic #4 chess tournament have been posted. Unofficial ratings for this tournament have been calculated.

September 5, 2025: Registration for the 2026 MB Provincial Chess Championships (CCC qualifer) is now open! We are also pleased to announce the Canadian Chess Challenge national finals will be hosted in WINNIPEG this year during the May long weekend.

The Manitoba Scholastic Chess Association is a non-profit organization. It is run entirely by volunteers who give their time in order to bring the game of chess to as many students as possible.
